Liver Transplant and Gastroenterology

Dr. Saurabh Agrawal is a Liver Transplant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at the Tampa General Medical Group.  Dr. Agrawal is a board-certified physician.

His interest in liver transplant gastroenterology started at Yale University School of Medicine during the final year of his medical school. He had the opportunity to experience all the aspects of the fascinating field.

Dr. Agrawal’s passion for liver transplant and Gastroenterology led him to pursue Basic and Clinical Science research at the Gastroenterology unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

He received his Medical degree from the Federal University of Paraiba School of Medicine, Brazil, and an Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio.

Dr. Saurabh Agrawal then completed a Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana and a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

In 2016 he joined the liver transplant program at Tampa General Hospital and the Tampa General Medical Group. Dr. Agrawal is currently an affiliate assistant professor for the department of Internal Medicine at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Agrawal speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish and Hindi. In his spare time, he enjoys studying foreign languages and soccer.

Dr. Agrawal is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Society of Transplantation and the American Gastroenterology Association.
