Pediatric and Prenatal Chiropractor
Dr. Amanda Metzger learned the value of chiropractic care after a car accident during adolescence, from which she suffered migraines and pelvic pain. Her love of the human frame started in high school while taking a human anatomy class. She always admired the holistic approach to healthcare and due to her experience has dedicated her life to bringing that approach to families of the Tampa area.
Dr. Metzger has been a Tampa Bay resident for the past 23 years and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in Health Education and Behavior. After undergrad, she continued on to get a Masters in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Women’s Health and a graduate certificate in Medicine and Gender. Dr. Metzger then went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange Florida, where she graduated Salutatorian of her class and was awarded the prestigious Virgil Strang Philosophy award by the faculty.
During her time in chiropractic school, she was the president of the Pediatric Club, became a trained birth doula with DONA International, and began her post-graduate training with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has since earned her certification with them and is finishing a post-graduate Diplomate program with the International Chiropractic Association’s Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics’. She has worked hard to become an expert in her field and is passionate about helping families realize their optimal potential by removing interference to their nervous systems. She is Webster certified and utilizes techniques that are safe, gentle and effective for the special populations she treats. Dr. Metzger takes her time and truly cares for her patients, making sure to get to the root cause of their problem. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking vegan dishes, traveling, spending time with her family, friends, and two 7-year-old Pomeranians Callie & Coco.
