Defy Medical

Dr. Justin Saya is the medical director and lead practicing physician at Defy Medical.

Dr. Saya and his team offer therapy to both men and women looking to balance their hormone levels and improve their overall quality of life. His patients have reported benefits such as improved energy levels, restored libido, improved muscle tone and exercise tolerance when combined with an exercise routine, healthy/sustainable weight loss when positive eating and exercise habits are adopted, and much more.

“Many of my patients say they have struggled with other physicians who haven’t really listened to them,  told them they’re normal when they’re having bothersome symptoms, or even that they may need to see a psychiatrist to treat their issues”, said Dr Saya. “That concerns me as a physician, because the one who suffers is the patient.”

Dr. Saya graduated as class valedictorian from North Carolina State University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Medicine, and subsequently performed his internship and residency training at the University of South Florida/Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program.

In addition to his education and training, he is privileged to hold many certifications, honors, and memberships, including membership to the American Medical Association, the American Association of Family Practitioners, and the World Anti-Aging Academy of Medicine, among many others.

As the medical director, Dr. Saya has helped create a culture with providers and staff that places the patient number one by listening to the patient’s concerns and developing a comprehensive treatment approach that will help the patient not only to feel better but live a more vibrant and healthier life.

“I went into medicine to heal people,” Dr. Saya concluded. “Early in my medical career I became disenchanted with the reality of conventional medicine where I was forced to spend 7 to 10 minutes with a patient to quickly cover a few topics and then move on to the next patient. I understood there had to be a different way that better aligned with how I thought medicine should be. Ultimately, that’s what brought me to integrative, preventive medicine and HRT which allows me to heal people and provide quality of life with a personal connection.”
