Sophia Edwards-Bennett, MD, PhD, DABR & Kevin S. Tralins, MD

Sophia Edwards-Bennett, M.D., Ph.D., DABR is affectionately known to her patients as Dr. EB. Dr. EB is a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist who gained her medical and oncology post-graduate education from Harvard’s Cancer Therapeutics and Research Program, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Cornell Medical College.

Dr. EB has joined Dr. Kevin Tralins as a Radiation Oncologist/Consultant under MyDoctorEB LLC at Bardmoor Cancer Center.  She has been a practicing oncologist for over a decade, and is not only passionate about cancer patients’ clinical care, but has excelled academically, authoring and co-authoring multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of oncology, and as an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences.

She was recently inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who Top Professionals!  Dr. EB has also been donned with additional awards and accolades, including Best in Medicine 2019-2020, Tampa’s Top Doctors of the Year-2020. Who’s Who Professional of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Top Doctor in Multiple States, Patient Choice Award, and Leading Physicians of the World, for her clinical contributions and prowess.

Dr. Edwards-Bennett developed the Big-C Re- Attitudes, a novel approach which she employs in her clinical practice to enhance the cancer doctor-patient relationship and positively influence cancer patients’ treatment outcomes.  She disseminates this knowledge via other platforms, such as her podcast and youtube channel: REVOXYLIFE, and also as a best selling author.

Dr. Kevin Tralins specializes in the treatment of all types of cancers, and has been in practice for more than 20 years at the Bardmoor Cancer Center.  The Bardmoor Cancer Center offers the most advanced radiation therapy services in the Pinellas County area with both of our physicians; Dr. Kevin Tralins and Dr. Sophia Edwards-Bennett. Dr. Kevin Tralins completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, where he graduated with high honors.  He then earned his Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and subsequently completed his internal Medicine internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.

Dr. Tralins completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at The University of Washington Cancer Center and the The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington. During his training he served as the Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology.  Dr. Tralins also trained with Dr. John Blasko, a pioneer in the field of prostate seed implantation at the The Seattle Prostate Institute.

Dr. Tralins has expertise in IMRT (intensity modulated radiation therapy), IGRT (image guided radiation therapy), 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, prostate seed implantation and stereotactic radiosurgery.  He has been active in clinical research, publishing papers and lecturing.  He is a member of ASTRO (American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology), AMA (American Medical Association) and is board certified by The American Board of Radiology.
