Dr. Reena Kavilaveettil

Dr. Reena Kavilaveettil is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Headache. She is clinical neurophysiology fellowship-trained with a special interest in Epilepsy treatment. Her mission is to provide the highest quality patient care and the best clinical outcomes.

At St. Mary’s Neurology Center, patients are assured comprehensive, state-of-the-art care. She evaluates and treats a wide range of neurological conditions to give you personalized treatments right here at the Center in Tampa. Dr. Kavilaveettil’s office is equipped to do EMG/NCV, electrodiagnostic studies widely used to diagnose neuromuscular disorders. The office is well equipped to do EEG and Extended EEG studies. She also does numerous Botox injections for FDA-approved neurological conditions. Her office is equipped to adjust Vagal Nerve Stimulator, a device inserted to control refractory seizures.

Dr. Kavilaveettil completed her medical school at Medical College Kottayam, India and finished her Internal Medicine Preliminary at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Illinois. She completed Neurology Residency and Neurophysiology Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She ventured out to the sunshine state in 2005 and has been practicing in the Tampa area for almost 16 years. At St. Mary’s Neurology Center, she manages the challenges of being a solo practitioner with the clinic and being a consultant Neurologist at Advent Hospital Tampa.

Dr. Kavilaveettil, known to many as Dr. Kavi, is passionate about bringing the most advanced treatments in the Tampa area while producing excellent outcomes with compassion.
