Dr. Paradis Esfandiari of Smile Design Dentistry in Downtown Tampa is an Extraordinary dentist who patients call “Dr. E” for more than one reason. With his patient-first model of care, patients feel immediately at Ease.

“Engagement with patients, getting to know their preferences and concerns is job number one,” says Dr. E. who was born in London, England and attended the University of Miami on a full academic scholarship to earn a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neuroscience. He went on to attend the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree.

“Exceptional attention to patient concerns is the entire team’s goal,” says Dr. E. Patient exams and dental cleanings are comprehensive with time for conversation. We slow down to provide the full information patients desire and answer all their questions. At the same time, we are highly aware of our patients’ busy lives. Scheduling patients so we have ample time with each and can stay on schedule is important to us. We definitely do not want the busy professionals who come to our practice to wait in our reception area while we finish with the previous patient.”

As a General Dentist, Dr. E offers the full range of preventive and restorative dental services with attention to improving the esthetics of each smile. “I am particularly interested in esthetic dentistry, fixed prosthodontics, endodontics and, recently, public health,” says Dr. Esfandiari, who currently serves as president of a continuing education organization called Blue Lecture Series, which is approved by the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) to award CE credits for dentists and specialists licensed in the USA.

Those who have worked with him understand that he is passionate about his patients, and he wants for them – the doctor/patient team – to succeed. “We try to accommodate everyone’s needs, whether they be a noon appointment, before or after work appointment, or urgent care. We have an amazing location downtown in Tampa’s financial district with ample parking nearby. We enjoy seeing and helping a lot of young professionals,” says Dr. E. “Many of them are active in fitness, like I am, and we chat about fitness training and nutrition. I’ve been playing guitar recreationally for over 12 years and love to travel. It’s easy to find interests in common with my patients.
