Ed Tony Francisco, DDS PA General and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Francisco has served the people of Tampa Bay since 1993. To this day, he loves practicing dentistry and masterfully caring for every patient’s individual needs. He genuinely cares about finding the best possible solutions. His practice offers personalized service and is uniquely focused around each patient’s care.

He was born in the Philippines. His family moved to the United States in 1971 and soon thereafter became naturalized citizens. They established their home in Hampton Roads, Virginia. His Mother, a Registered Nurse, was a positive influence on the Doctor’s early interest in the science and healthcare fields.

Dr. Francisco received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Medical College of Virginia in 1993 after completion of his Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University. He accepted a Residency offer from University of Florida and was certified in Advanced General Dentistry in 1994.

Upon completion of his Residency, Tampa had clearly become his permanent home. He began his career assisting various dentist offices in Tampa Bay while searching for a location to launch his practice. He located a former Podiatrist office for sale in the heart of South Tampa and immediately saw his vision before his eyes. After a yearlong painstaking renovation to the facility, he opened his practice in April 1996 and has built one of Tampa’s premier dental practices one new patient at a time.

Dr. Francisco performs all General and Family dentistry procedures including Comprehensive Examinations, Cleanings, Crowns, Bridges, Implants, Full/ Partial Dentures, Periodontal Disease prevention and treatment. His favorite procedures are Crown and Bridge work. Additionally, he offers a full range of Cosmetic Dentistry services to help with chipped, broken, and/or missing teeth. His practice performs ZOOM Teeth Whitening and offers Take-Home Teeth Whitening Systems. Various types of Mouth Guards are also available for protection against sport injuries, night time teeth grinding, and snoring.

The practice provides the most advanced dental technology available including Digital X-Rays and Intraoral Cameras. Intraoral Cameras offers a visual aide to assist patients in understanding their dental problems. Dr. Francisco’s practice has extremely close relationships with top dental specialist in the area to facilitate patients’ total dental care.

Dr. Francisco is particularly proud of the diversity in his patient base which is representative of all Tampa Bay has to offer. He is proud of his loyal support from US service members based at MacDill Air Force Base. Family Dentistry means he not only treats adults, but also the younger ones ages 5 -16.

He and his staff love hearing stories from the school aged patients. The practice is fortunate to have two staff members who are fluent in Spanish – Se Habla Español. Dr. Francisco is proud of his tenured staff – his Dental Assistant and Hygienist have been with the practice for a combined 15 years – and he is pleased to offer this stability to his patients.

Dr. Francisco maintains a weekly exercise routine at the gym and is an avid jogger on Bayshore Boulevard. He runs the Gasparilla 15K Distance Classic annually. He also participates in a daily meditation routine. He enjoys traveling with family including his 13-years old son and 6-year old Maltese named Baxter.

The office honors all major PPO dental insurance plans and is still accepting new patients. For those without traditional insurance, the office offers its proprietary In-house Dental Discount Plan. Dr. Francisco is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and West Coast Dental Association.
