Dr. Patrick J. Horan is a well-established orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist in the Tampa Bay area.  He is Board certified in orthopaedics and sports medicine.  He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and then went on to earn his medical degree from Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.  He completed his residency and internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  He then went on to complete his MBA from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. He is currently completely additional studies at the University of South Florida here in Tampa. 

Dr. Horan served for 10 years on active duty in the United States Army before entering into private practice in Tampa, Florida.   He has served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of staff at Town ‘n Country Hospital, as well as serving as the team physician for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.  He currently performs surgeries at Advent Health Carrollwood and Westchase Surgery Center.

Dr. Horan is the founder and director of Westchase Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Tampa, Florida. This is a medical center that provides not only expert medical evaluations and diagnoses, but offers various modalities of physical therapy treatments.  He is passionate about bringing the center into the future with expansion into cutting edge treatments including platelet rich plasma therapy, advanced cold therapy treatments, and the use of adipose cell therapies.

Working with Simeon Lao, DPT, Wendell Bulmer, DO, Samantha Mikulaschek, DPT, and Kaitlyn Campo PA-C., Dr. Horan has assembled a team of innovative healthcare professionals.  Together, this team is able to effectively and efficiently treat a wide variety of cases with treatments ranging from physical therapy and other non-invasive interventions to surgical procedures.
