Synergistiq Integrative Health

Deepa B Verma MD, AIHM, is double-board certified in family medicine and integrative medicine. She was born in Queens, NY and raised in NJ.

She graduated summa cum laude from The College of NJ and then went on to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her medical residency at Somerset Medical Center and was elected chief resident in her final year.

Dr Verma relocated to sunny FL in 2006 and worked for Morton Plant Mease Primary Care until she realized she was getting jaded by the fractured healthcare system by not being able to offer preventative care to her patients. Merely placing a bandage over medical issues was not the solution, without looking deeper into root causes.

Synergistiq Integrative Health (now known as Synergistiq Wellness) was founded by Dr Verma in 2013 in Clearwater. Dr Verma knew it was time to follow her passion to educate and heal the patient as a whole, not as fragmented and dissected systems. Dr Verma practices what she preaches and lives her life the way she expects her patients to. With her practice being successful from the start, she is now opening her second location in South Tampa/Hyde park this month.

Synergistiq Wellness represents renewal and rebirth, being born during a very challenging time in Dr Verma’s life, when she went through a divorce and then lost her father unexpectedly due to an oversight in traditional medicine. Investing her energy into creating a practice where she can give people a chance at creating a healthier and happier version of their existence was her primary goal. As a TV personality and faculty speaker for many medical organizations such as American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr Verma strives endlessly to enrich the lives of those she meets. She feels the frustration and angst of patients being sick and tired of feeling tired and sick. The relentless pursuit of total wellbeing embodies the essence of Synergistiq.

Integrative medicine is a healing-oriented medicine. Dr Verma believes in 4 pillars of medicine which she determined to be clean diet, restorative sleep, exercise and stress reduction. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between the practitioner and the patient. Appropriate use of both conventional and integrative alternative methods facilitate the body’s innate healing mechanisms.
