Critical Care Physician
Dr. Ashish Aggarwal is a board-certified critical care physician who received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. During his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, he found his true passion in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), utilizing his outstanding analytical and procedure skills. He completed his fellowship in critical care medicine at Chicago’s Franciscan St. James Hospital. Dr. Aggarwal then moved to Tampa where he has worked with Tampa Lung Specialists since 2019. His professional group offers pulmonary, sleep, and critical care services throughout the Tampa area. Dr. Aggarwal currently works in the medical, cardiovascular, trauma, and neurology ICUs. He is primarily based at BayCare Health System’s St. Joseph Hospital on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Dr. Aggarwal provides the highest level of care to his patients, managing any crisis situation with competence, empathy, reliability, equanimity, and superb communication skills. During his time at St. Joseph’s, he has been recognized for his hard work and dedication: He was nominated by his peers and selected by the institution’s Professional Practice Council for the Physician of the Quarter Award, which honors outstanding doctors who support clinical excellence. Dr. Aggarwal was also nominated by his peers and awarded the Tampa Top Doc award for critical care medicine in 2022.
Outside of work, Dr. Aggarwal enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a physician at Moffitt Cancer Center, and his two young children. He is an avid sports fan who plays table tennis and soccer in his free time. Dr. Aggarwal also enjoys Tampa’s growing restaurant scene.
