Dr. Cherpelis, a featured expert on Fox News and CNBC, has been offering world-class care for decades in the Tampa Bay area. As a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon, Dr. Cherpelis specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, a procedure for skin cancer removal. He has been recognized by the Consumer Research Council of America as one of America’s Top Physicians, voted into Best Doctors by his peers and has consistently earned a Top Doctor recognition by Castle Connolly.
In addition to extensive Mohs surgery experience, Dr. Cherpelis is also highly involved in academia. He currently serves as a professor and residency program director for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery. He has trained over 60 residents to become dermatologists. Dr. Cherpelis has also authored over 60 articles in leading dermatologic journals and has served as the president of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.
