Broadway Cat Hospital

Dr. Audry Frana received her bachelor’s degree cum laude from Iowa State University. She continued her education at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing her medical training, she worked in Wisconsin and Texas perfecting her style of medicine. This style was greatly influenced by her upbringing on a farm in eastern Iowa. She is a believer in treating every client and patient like they are her own family. Her values of compassion, empathy, and integrity are instilled in a loving small-town environment.

As a child, Dr. Frana started visiting the Tampa area. She fell in love with both the climate and the diversity. She has always aspired to become a part of this coastal community and lifestyle. When the opportunity arose for her to take over a feline only hospital in Dunedin, she jumped at the chance. In 2018, she became the proud owner of Broadway Cat Hospital. She is glad to continue the legacy of a local female owned small business. Through her own cultivation, she is bringing progress with technology, as well as continuing the traditional medicine that feline owners know and love.

Broadway Cat Hospital prides itself on concierge type services. They will always see same day emergencies for their current clients. The staff, with a combined 50+ years of experience, has been known to pick up cats for appointments and deliver prescriptions. They can also arrange for at-home visits to further reduce stress. They are truly there to help their clients with any unique feline needs.

Being a completely feline centered practice, Broadway Cat Hospital has a very calm environment with low noise levels. They also have a high level of air circulation to decrease stress pheromones that cause anxiety. These surroundings help incorporate Dr. Frana’s Fear Free Certification and low stress handling techniques. By only treating cats, Dr. Frana is able to focus on continuing her education in order to keep up to date with feline specific techniques and information. This helps her concentrate on feline health needs that are often overlooked.

Dr. Frana has special interest in feline internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She excels at the treatment of chronic diseases such as renal failure, diabetes, and hyperthyroidism, to name a few. Her surgical expertise in both soft tissue and orthopedic, has not only benefited but also saved numerous lives.

Dr. Frana and her family have comfortably settled in the Sunshine State. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures to the beach and restoring beautiful historic homes with her family. She is honored to be voted one of Tampa’s Top Veterinarians.
