These local dog parks are a great way to enjoy the lovely spring weather and bond with your dog. Please remember to respect other humans and animals at the park and to obey all posted rules.
Curtis Hixon Waterfront Dog Park
This dog park is a great place to spend an afternoon. They do not have a specific area for smaller dogs, so this location may be better for larger dogs. There are different sized blocks and cylinder stacks for the dogs to run on and play with. The lights in the park are helpful if you plan to visit in the evening.

Logan Gate Dog Park
The Logan Gate Dog Park is a great place to bring your dog of any size. With separate play areas for small and large dogs, there is plenty of room to run around. There are also picnic tables for human comfort, as well as dog washing stations to clean off your furry friend at the end of your visit. The play areas are fully fenced for safety and convenience.

West Park Dog Park
Offering an abundance of running and playing space for dogs of any age and size, this 5-acre dog park also includes a shaded sitting area for pet parents. Located near the Tampa International Airport, this was the first official dog park in Hillsborough County, Florida. This park also has a children’s playground and baseball fields, so feel free to bring the whole family when it’s time for Fido to play and socialize. West Park also features a dog washing area for public use.

Crest Lake Dog Park
This Clearwater dog park has four fenced sections for dogs of different sizes to ensure pet safety. The park also has a children’s playground, fishing area, and a fitness station in addition to the open dog areas. As one of the shadiest dog parks, Crest Lake is perfect for visiting on sunny days. And, if your dog prefers walking over running around, there’s a walking trail for pets and their parents.

Dr. Ott’s Dog Park
Opened by veterinarian Dr. Hal Ott, this dog park was created to give dogs a safe space to play in the local area. The park’s swings are perfect for relaxing while your dog runs around in the off-leash, fenced play area. Ott’s Off Leash Dog Sanctuary is open Thursday through Sunday. The Sanctuary’s mission is “to provide an open area of natural beauty for both dogs to play and those who love animals to gather for relaxation and exercise, while enjoying serenity within the spirit of love and peace.”
