Coastal Jaw Surgery

One of the easiest and most effective ways you can keep your smile looking and feeling great is through the advice and care of a compassionate and board certified Periodontist. Periodontists are specially trained doctors in the essential dental art and science of helping you maintain or regain beautiful, healthy gums and teeth. Chances are that if you were in jeopardy of losing a tooth, it could be linked to Periodontal (gum) disease and you would certainly not be alone as nearly 65 million Americans currently suffer from this leading cause of tooth loss, and most of them don’t even know they have it.

There are several profound advantages you’ll experience through regular Periodontal care which will dramatically improve your quality of life. From simple things like avoiding chronic bad breath to more critical issues like preventing bone loss, increasing the longevity of your teeth and simply enjoying the function and confidence of complete dental health. Good Periodontal health can even help reduce your chance of heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s and diabetes. Research has shown that the more missing teeth you might have, the shorter your life expectancy becomes.

Fortunately, you wouldn’t have to go too far to get to know two of the area’s most qualified and genuinely caring Periodontists, Dr. Lindsey Pikos Rosati and Dr. Anthony M. Pikos. They’ve brought their extraordinary skillsets home to one of the very few surgical based multidisciplinary practices in the state of Florida, Coastal Jaw Surgery. What makes this even more special is, Coastal Jaw Surgery is founded by their father, a world renown Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon and instructor, Dr. Michael A. Pikos.

Each of these exceptional perio-siblings can offer you the full spectrum of surgical treatment and cosmetic dentistry, including but definitely not limited to placing dental implants, periodontal plastic surgery, bone grafting, Same Day Teeth™ and of course the gamut of treatment modes for gum disease, gummy smile, malpositioned teeth, periodontal-orthodontic procedures and much more.

If you appreciate the personalized warmth of a genuine, family practice, this is one dental office whose patients regularly share their experiences of feeling like a part of that family from the moment they’ve walked through the door.

Dr. Lindsey Pikos Rosati was Chief Resident during her Residency at University of Florida College of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology. She received her DDS from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her BS from University of Florida as well. Dr. Rosati is actively involved in several community and volunteer organizations, including pro-bono dental clinics and church-sponsored soup kitchens. In her spare time, she is an avid athlete and has completed an Ironman Triathlon and the Boston Marathon twice! She is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Sam, and together they have two beautiful children and a Labrador retriever named Gracie.

Dr. Anthony M. Pikos was also Chief Resident during his Residency at University of Alabama, Department of Periodontology. He received his DMD from University of South Carolina School of Dentistry and his BS from Rhodes College and University of South Florida.

Dr. Pikos is actively involved in the local community participating in dental outreach,

church events, and local softball leagues. Dr. Pikos is an avid outdoorsman enjoying both hunting and fishing as well as spending quality time on the water with his black Labrador retriever named Cooper. Dr. Pikos met his beautiful wife Rebecca during dental school and the two have been happily married for three years.

While Dr. Rosati and Dr. Pikos each pursued their respective degrees in other states, they are both proud Florida natives and feel blessed and excited to be practicing as a family and treating patients back home in the Sunshine State.
