VIVIFY Plastic Surgery
A new plastic surgery practice is taking Tampa Bay by storm. VIVIFY plastic surgery opened its doors in September of 2018 but the buzz is already out. It has become a destination for those looking for a personalized approach from a boutique plastic surgery practice.
VIVIFY plastic surgery was started by its owner and CEO, Dr. Dallas R. Buchanan. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), the only plastic surgery board approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), as well as being an active member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), in addition to being a member of several local societies such as the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons (FSPS), the Tampa Bay Plastic Surgery Society, and the Hillsborough County Medical Society.
Dr. Buchanan grew up in Missouri and graduated as valedictorian of his high school class. He then attended undergraduate studies at Truman State University where he graduated magna cum laude with a major in chemistry and a minor in biology. His medical school degree was obtained from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. After this, he chose to pursue a full 5-year residency training in general surgery in Birmingham, Alabama where in his final year he served as Chief Resident. He then chose to pursue an additional 3-year specialty fellowship training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Temple University Medical Center in Philadelphia where once again, in his final year, he served as Chief Resident.
After completing his extensive training in 2014, he joined a private practice in Spokane, Washington. During his time in Washington, he developed a robust practice known for a wide variety of both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Buchanan was an associate clinical professor with the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society for his contributions to the education of future physicians. He was elected to the RealSelf.com “Top 500” in 2016, the “Top 100” in 2017, and the RealSelf.com ‘Hall of Fame” in 2018. He was selected as a “Top 10 in Washington” by the American Institute of Plastic Surgery in 2017 & 2018, as well as a “Top Plastic Surgeon” by Top Plastic Surgeon Reviews in 2018 & 2019. He has been published in multiple textbooks and medical journals on topics ranging from facial cosmetic surgery and facial aging to body contouring and breast surgery.
After an exhaustive nationwide search, Dr. Buchanan finally realized his dream of opening his own solo private practice when he and his wife, Michelle, chose Tampa Bay to be their lifelong home. At VIVIFY plastic surgery, Dr. Buchanan focuses on elective cosmetic surgery and breast cancer reconstruction. The practice philosophy is patient centered, customized care. He assesses each of his patients individually and reviews in detail their specific goals and objectives. He then creates a unique approach that may include surgical or non-surgical treatments. His expertise lies in staying up to date on the most cutting-edge technology and techniques to give each patient the best outcome possible. One look at his results and his long list of stellar online reviews only serves to prove that he is already a great addition to Tampa Bay. When asked about this new chapter in his life, Dr. Buchanan stated, “I could not be happier to be a part of the Tampa Bay community and get the opportunity to contribute to the health and wellness of its citizens.”
