Deepak K. Naidu, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with Bayfront Health Medical Group Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He specializes in reconstructive surgery after traumatic injuries as well as oncologic procedures such as breast cancer reconstruction. A significant portion of his practice is also devoted to breast reduction surgeries, which may have both health and aesthetic benefits. Dr. Naidu is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Naidu joined Bayfront Health in June 2021 to lead the aesthetic and reconstructive surgery department of the organization’s new medical group, adding another world-class practice to Bayfront Health’s scope of care. With his extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Naidu helps patients achieve their desired outcomes, whether they are seeking relief from the impacts of disease, trauma or discomfort, or enhancements to the appearance of the face and body, including gender-affirming procedures for adults. Dr. Naidu understands that, along with refined look and function, the many benefits of plastic surgery include increased self-confidence and improved mental health, well-being, and quality of life. His goal is to provide the skilled care that results in positive life changes for his patients, helping them to feel good about themselves and their appearance. 

During his esteemed career, Dr. Naidu has been involved in several research projects, presented at national conferences and had his work appear in numerous peer-reviewed medical publications. Dr. Naidu also has held positions in the educational sector as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, as well as a plastic surgery faculty member at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa.

After graduating summa cum laude with a dual major in molecular biology and English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Dr. Naidu earned his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed a general surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute, also in Louisville. He then went on to complete a plastic surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is active in his profession as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Tampa Bay Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
