Elizabeth Burchell is a highly respected attorney and Partner at Busciglio Sheridan & Schoeb, where she has become an indispensable asset through her exceptional work in complex family law and appellate matters. With a legal career marked by integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the best interests of children and families, Elizabeth is widely recognized as one of the leading Guardian ad Litems in the Tampa Bay Area. Her work in timesharing and child-related issues has earned her the trust of judges, colleagues, and clients alike.

Elizabeth brought over a decade of legal experience with her to law school, having worked full-time as a paralegal while attending law school. She graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School in January 2016. During law school, she was a founding member of the Castor Inn Chapter of the Legal Honor Society, Phi Delta Phi, where she served as Historian in 2013 and President in 2014. Her academic excellence was recognized with eight Certificates of Merit for earning the highest grade in class.

Elizabeth’s vast experience in family law, paired with outstanding legal research and writing skills, allows her to guide clients effectively through emotionally charged and complex matters in both trial and appellate courts. Her areas of practice include Divorce, Custody, Paternity, Child Support, Stepparent and Relative Adoptions, Guardian ad Litem and Appeals. In addition to being a powerful courtroom advocate, Elizabeth is also a published author of the Children’s Book “Actually, I Can!”. Beyond her legal work, Elizabeth is deeply committed to serving her community volunteering her time engaging with children in foster care group homes and serving as a pro bono Attorney ad Litem for children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.
