As far back as he can remember, Will O. Deliz, DMD, never wanted to be a dentist when he grew up.

“I actually never enjoyed going to the dentist,” he laughed. “But my lifelong passion for science, medicine and helping people gradually led me to this profession, and now I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love what I do.”

Born and raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the bilingual Dr. Deliz earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry. Soon after, he moved to Florida, completing a postdoctoral residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NOVA Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. He moved to Tampa in 2005, where he’s resided and practiced ever since.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Deliz has made it his mission to “define your smile,” helping hundreds of individuals and families achieve natural-looking smiles that they feel proud to share with the world. 

“I’ve always believed you can change lives for the better with smiles,” he beamed.

Once you step inside his sleek, ultra-modern Deliz Dental Studio practice in Valrico, which began accepting patients in July 2020, you’ll quickly realize this isn’t your average dentist’s office. From the cozy layout, chic design flourishes and hip music, Dr. Deliz paid careful attention to every detail, ensuring a positive, anxiety-free patient experience.

“I believe a visit to the dentist should feel more like a relaxing vacation than a dreaded trip to the DMV,” he shared.

When he’s not helping his patients define their smiles, Dr. Deliz enjoys exercising, traveling and scuba diving. He’s also quite a foodie: for the past three years, he’s co-authored the Taste Around Tampa blog, sharing the many savory dishes from local, independent dining spots around the Tampa Bay area.
