Dr. Vikesh Khanijow is a gastroenterologist at the premier private practice group Gastro Florida. A native Floridian, he was raised in the Tampa Bay area and graduated from Morsani School of Medicine at University of South Florida. Dr. Khanijow completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas and was awarded Chief Medical Resident prior to completing his Gastroenterology training at prestigious George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He worked in South Jersey prior to returning home to the Tampa Bay area in 2018.

Dr. Khanijow provides comprehensive gastroenterology care and works closely with a registered dietitian, Gina Gomez-Pratt, to address overall digestive health. He has a special interest in colorectal cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis along with pancreatic & liver disease and all gastrointestinal cancers. He utilizes advanced diagnostic tools with the latest therapies and provides access to cutting edge clinical research.

Dr. Khanijow is a favorite of his patients. Having near perfect patient survey scores, he has been cited as a Top Doc in the Tampa Bay area.

Dr. Khanijow’s outside interests include traveling, fine dining, and spending time with his wife, who is a rising urogynecologist in the Trinity area. He is a very enthusiastic supporter of all Tampa Bay sports teams especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Go Bucs!
