Victoria Ferrentino is the managing partner and a founder of Ferrentino + Brotz. Over the last two decades, Victoria has dedicated her career to serving healthcare professionals and institutions. Whether defending professional liability claims, Department of Health proceedings, or counseling providers on regulatory issues, best practices and claims avoidance, Victoria provides a holistic approach to representation. She prides herself on assessing the best strategy and approach for her clients in every case. 

 

Victoria recognizes the value of being proactive and equipping health care providers with the tools they need to protect their practices, ensure compliance, and uphold the highest standards of patient care.  To further that end, Victoria regularly presents on a variety of topics that empower healthcare providers and hospital leaders to navigate the intersection of medicine and the law. Throughout her career, Victoria has remained a trusted legal resource and advocate for healthcare professionals.

 

Victoria is also active within the legal community.  She has held leadership positions at the state and local level having served on the Board of Directors for the Hillsborough County Bar Association for several years, as President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, and as a member of several committees of the Florida Bar, including the Professional Ethics Committee, Rules of Civil Procedure Committee, Constitutional Judiciary Committee, and the Judicial Administration and Evaluation Committee. She is currently serving on the Florida Bar 13th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. 

 

She is also a member of the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management & Patient Safety at which she has been invited to present for the past several years on a variety of legal issues which impact healthcare providers. 

 

Victoria has been recognized for numerous honors and awards within the community. Victoria is AV rated, which is the highest rating by Martindale-Hubbell and most recently  included in the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Medical Malpractice Litigation. She was  also named to Florida Super Lawyers for Medical Malpractice Defense (2017-2019). 

 

Victoria was a finalist for the Community Leadership Award Presented by USF Women in Leadership and Philanthropy for her work with mentoring law students and new lawyers.  She was also presented with the Florida Bar Equal Opportunities in the Profession Award (2012) for her efforts in promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal community and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers Presidents Award (2014) for her service to the organization. She received the Hillsborough County Bar  James M. “Red” McEwen Memorial Award (2013) and  the HCBA Award of Excellence  (2013) for her significant contribution to the historical film documentary “Before the Law Was Equal: The Desegregation of the Hillsborough County Legal Community” which was featured at the 2013 Gasparilla film festival.
