After graduating from Washburn University School of Law in 1989, Tom embarked on his legal career with a strong commitment to justice. He began as a Defense attorney, honing his skills for several years before shifting his focus to plaintiff advocacy, which has shaped his career for the past 35 years. This unique background gives Tom a strategic edge, enabling him to anticipate and counter defense tactics effectively.
His legal expertise spans a broad range of areas, including wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, serious automobile, trucking, and motorcycle accidents, as well as slip and fall and premises liability cases. A first-generation American, Tom is the son of Cuban immigrants who settled in Florida. Fluent in Spanish, Tom and his wife Yolanda have raised three sons. They enjoy exploring the country in their RV, with their loyal dog Berkeley in tow, and are eagerly planning a grand coast-to-coast RV adventure. When not on the road, Tom is deeply involved in his community, serving as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Tampa.
