Christa M. Carpenter & Eric P. Czelusta

The Patient’s Law Firm provides its clients with a dynamic combination of technical knowledge, trial know-how, personal attention, and hard work.  This law firm is headed by attorneys Christa Carpenter, Esq., who is also a clinically experienced and licensed registered nurse, and Eric Czelusta, Esq., who is board certified by the Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law.  Using a comprehensive team approach which includes the use of in-house physicians and nurses, they have had developed a track record of success for their clients.

Ms. Carpenter graduated from the University of Tampa in 2006 with degrees in nursing and criminology.  She then went on to enroll in law school at Stetson University College of Law while at the same time working as an ICU nurse and working as a law clerk at a prominent Tampa medical malpractice defense firm.  She excelled in law school, earning top grades in multiple courses, becoming an editor of Stetson’s Law Review, and graduating in the top 10% of her class.  Upon graduation, Ms. Carpenter worked for several years defending physicians and hospitals from inception through trial.  In 2016, Ms. Carpenter founded The Patient’s Law Firm to represent injured patients throughout the State of Florida.  Ms. Carpenter’s combined legal acumen and medical knowledge, as well as her tenacity and no quit attitude, make this lawyer one to watch as you will be hearing a lot about her in the future.

In early 2019, Ms. Carpenter was joined by her law partner, Eric Czelusta, BCS, Esq., to further expand this rapidly growing law firm.  Mr. Czelusta is an experienced trial lawyer who is licensed in both Florida and Texas.  He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubble and Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Civil Trial.  Mr. Czelusta attended law school at Florida State University and earned his JD in 1998 with honors.  Upon graduation, Mr. Czelusta was employed as an Assistant State Attorney where he tried over 50 jury trials.  Thereafter, Mr. Czelusta spent the next ten years defending hospitals and doctors in South Florida before moving to the Tampa Bay area in 2011 to lead the medical malpractice division of a large and prestigious plaintiff’s law firm.

Together, Ms. Carpenter, Mr. Czelusta, and their staff of results and service oriented medical consultants, paralegals, and support staff have put together a formidable team to help patients injured by medical malpractice and nursing home abuse in both the Tampa Bay Area and throughout the State of Florida.  They have combined for a total of over $70,000,000 in recoveries for their clients including multiple seven figure verdicts and settlements.  The Patient’s Law Firm has become the “go-to” resource for injured patients and their families.
