Board-Eligible Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Tanya Sehgal is a proud Tampa Bay native and board-eligible pediatric dentist with a lifelong passion for caring for children and giving back to her local community. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, followed by her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.
After practicing as a general dentist for four years, Dr. Sehgal realized her true calling was in pediatric dentistry. This passion led her to complete a pediatric dental residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, where she received extensive training in the unique needs of young patients. During her residency, she gained advanced experience in managing dental trauma, treating children with special healthcare needs, and delivering comprehensive care in a compassionate, child-friendly environment.
Dr. Sehgal takes pride in creating positive, stress-free dental visits that help children feel safe, confident, and empowered to care for their oral health. She understands that every child is different and takes the time to tailor each visit to meet their individual needs. Her goal is to build a strong foundation for lifelong healthy smiles—one patient at a time.
Now back in her home state, Dr. Sehgal is proud to serve the families of Winter Haven as part of the team at Children and Teen Dental.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sehgal leads a well-rounded and active lifestyle. She enjoys going on scenic hikes, attending yoga classes, traveling to new destinations, and expressing her creativity through building intricate Lego sets. These hobbies help her stay balanced and bring a sense of creativity and mindfulness to both her professional and personal life.
