Dr. Sanjiv K. Desai is a kind and dedicated board-certified physician who has been serving his patients in the Tampa Bay community with compassionate care since moving to the area after completing his medical training. A diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Desai offers a comprehensive, holistic approach to patient care, prioritizing both physical and mental health. Dr. Desai completed his residency in Family Medicine at SUNY Buffalo/Niagara Falls in 2003 and has since provided continuous care at the same medical clinics in Tampa, building long-lasting relationships with multigenerational families. He is affiliated with Palm Medical Centers, which has a strong and growing presence in Florida. With over 20 years of experience in preventive care and the treatment of chronic medical conditions, he has developed a nuanced understanding of when to adopt an aggressive treatment approach and when to offer a more delicate, compassionate perspective, particularly in end-of-life care.
Dr. Desai has worked across both outpatient and hospital settings, ensuring that his patients receive comprehensive, continuous care throughout their medical journey. When not caring for patients, Dr. Desai enjoys spending time and traveling with family and friends. He lives with his wife, Dr. Maria Desai, their two children, and beloved dog, Jax.
