Richard Gilbert has been a trial lawyer in Tampa for more than forty years. He is board certified in Civil Trial and Business Litigation by The Florida Bar. He has won numerous multi-million-dollar jury awards and has served as lead counsel in four trials receiving national attention. He and his co-counsel obtained the largest jury verdict ever in the State of Florida in a medical malpractice lawsuit. His peers have now recognized him as the Best Lawyers 2022 “Lawyer of the Year” for Plaintiffs Medical Malpractice Law in Tampa.
Mr. Gilbert is listed in Best Lawyers Florida in three categories: Commercial Litigation, Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs, and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs. Other awards include being selected as one of the leading 500 plaintiffs’ trial lawyers in America by Law Dragon Magazine in 2007 and one of the top one hundred Florida Super Lawyers in 2006 and 2007.
Mr. Gilbert has actively served his local community as president of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, chair of the local trial lawyer section, president of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at Stetson Law School. Mr. Gilbert chaired the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, was elected to the Board of Governors, served on its Executive Committee, and chaired numerous other committees.
Don Greiwe is a trial lawyer practicing medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. He has recovered multiple millions of dollars for his clients, and has represented businesses in various commercial disputes, ranging from breach of contract, partnership disputes, to shareholder derivative claims.
