Premier NeuroSpine Institute, founded in 2019 by Air Force veteran Dr. Christopher Koebbe, delivers advanced neurosurgical care in Tampa Bay. With locations in St. Petersburg, Largo, Bradenton, Sarasota, and soon Tampa, the Institute specializes in cutting-edge treatments for complex neurological and spinal conditions.
Dr. Koebbe, a board-certified neurosurgeon and veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, brings a distinguished career, including roles as Chief Neurosurgeon at San Antonio Military Medical Center and Chief of Surgery at Northside Hospital, where he established a stroke center for aneurysm and neurovascular care. He specializes in minimally invasive spine and brain surgery, trauma, and vascular neurosurgery.
In 2022, the Institute welcomed Dr. Asif Shafiq, a board-certified neurosurgeon trained at Weill Cornell and Rutgers NJMS. Renowned for his minimally invasive techniques, long-segment spine surgeries, and complex deformity cases, Dr. Shafiq addresses spinal and intracranial conditions with precision and innovation, enhancing patient outcomes.
Dr. Marc Goldman is a board-certified neurosurgeon who joined in 2024, bringing over a decade of expertise from a major trauma center in Washington. He specializes in skull base surgery, endoscopic pituitary surgery, and microsurgery for brain tumors, further advancing the Institute’s capabilities.
