Lake Seminole Animal Hospital has been helping the pets of Pinellas for more than 60 years. Veterinary medicine has advanced by leaps and bounds during those decades, but the core of Lake Seminole Animal Hospital has not. “We are here to give the little furry ones the longest, happiest, healthiest life we can,” says owner Dr. Michael Rumore, “and digital x-rays, laser therapy and advanced medical treatments are only good when they are used with compassion and kindness.”
“Years ago, we had a patient named Lola, a cute little Yorkshire Terrier with multiple complicated health issues. Lola’s dog mom was great; and while she had her ups and downs, we helped her take really good care of Lola. As Lola grew older, her mom gave us a Thomas Kincaid painting of a lit cabin in the woods. She said we were her beacon in the darkness, guiding her when she was most scared for Lola. It was such an honor being entrusted and allowed to help; we try to be that light every day.”
