Huong Phan, DMD

Dr. Huong Phan, a proud Tampa Bay native, began her journey in dentistry with a strong desire to make a difference. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida, sparking her passion for healthcare. She then pursued a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL.

Throughout her school years, Dr. Phan participated in mission trips to San Juan, Nicaragua, Cap-Haitien, Haiti, and local initiatives like Mission of Mercy and Give Kids A Smile, providing essential dental care to children. This transformative experience deepened her commitment to improving oral health in underserved communities.

Dr. Phan’s passion for pediatric dentistry led her to The Ohio State University, where she completed a pediatric dental fellowship. She further advanced her training with a pediatric dental residency at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Her rigorous training equipped her to treat patients ranging from infants to adults with special healthcare needs, using techniques like restorative care, conscious sedation, hospital dentistry, and laser dentistry for frenectomies.

Her dedication to the field earned her the prestigious title of diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, highlighting her commitment to excellence.

Now based in Tampa, Dr. Phan practices at Harp Pediatric Dentistry and is thrilled to give back to the community that shaped her. Outside of work, she enjoys creating lasting memories with her husband and two boys, traveling, and exploring diverse cuisines. Her love for family, adventure, and dentistry continues to inspire those around her, making her a cherished figure in the Tampa Bay area.
