Dr. Heidenberg’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of urological and reproductive health treatments. He specializes in advanced assisted reproductive techniques, including vasectomy reversals, varicocele management, and addressing disorders of the testes and scrotum. His expertise includes sperm retrieval for in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection, microsurgical varicocelectomy, and transurethral resection of the ejaculatory ducts. He is skilled in innovative techniques such as testicular sperm aspiration and microsurgical repairs, ensuring that patients receive cutting-edge care tailored to their needs.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Dr. Heidenberg served with distinction in the U.S. Army. During the Gulf War, he was among the earliest physicians deployed in Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. For his exceptional service, he was awarded the Bronze Star.
Dr. Heidenberg completed his urology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he received subspecialty training in male infertility. During his tenure at Walter Reed, he served as Chief of Male Infertility, further cementing his reputation as a leading authority in this critical field. In 2000, he transitioned to private practice, bringing his expertise to the Tampa Bay area.
