George F. Gramling, III is a highly respected environmental and energy law attorney with 42 years of experience guiding businesses, governments and institutions through complex environmental, land use, and regulatory matters. As the founder and managing attorney of Gramling Environmental Law, P.A., he has earned a reputation throughout Florida and nationally as a trusted advocate for clients facing challenges in natural resources, energy, pollution, sustainability and real estate development.

Mr. Gramling is a Supreme Court of Florida certified mediator in all judicial circuits and maintains a selective litigation practice in state and federal courts, handling high-profile and vigorously contested matters. Throughout his career, he has established strong working relationships with federal, state, and local agencies, which allow him to secure effective and efficient solutions for his clients.

Mr. Gramling’s educational background includes degrees in English and Philosophy from Emory University, as well as a law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is rated “AV” by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and has been recognized by all top-tier lawyer rating publications, including Florida Super Lawyers, AVVO and Marquis Who’s Who. Mr. Gramling’s publications include the Harvard Law Review Journal, the Stetson Law Review Journal, the Florida Bar Journal, and many other state and nationally recognized publications. He served as Chair of the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law Section and serves leadership posts in many other capacities. His extensive legislative contributions include shaping landmark Florida environmental statutes and rules, such as the Florida Dry-Cleaning Solvent Cleanup Program, the Florida Brownfields Program, and Florida Risk-Based Corrective Action jurisprudence.
