Dr. Jay Ghiya

New Tampa Family Dental

Born and raised in New Tampa, Dr. Ghiya moved to Ft. Lauderdale to complete his professional dual degree program in only seven years. He has been in private practice serving the needs of Hillsborough county since the onset of his career.

Dr. Ghiya provides a full range of preventative and restorative dental services including digital dentistry and Invisalign. New Tampa Family Dental also provides its patients with the ability to place implants in their office to restore missing teeth.

Dr. Ghiya, or known by his patients as Dr. G, focuses on treating problems early and stresses the importance of prevention. He understands the hardest part of coming to the dentist is walking through the front door; he strives to create an environment in which his patients feel at ease throughout the entire dental process. New Tampa Family Dental is equipped with massage chairs and Smart televisions to watch Netflix/Hulu during your dental visit.

No one enjoys being in pain, and as such Dr. G’s philosophy is based on solving problems early to prevent pain in the future. He addresses a patient’s chief concern, resolving any dental pain as fast and efficiently as possible, then moving on to establishing a healthy mouth. From there he prioritizes establishing form, function and achieving the beautiful smile every patient desires.

Dr. Ghiya recognizes that a dental emergency can happen at any time. New Tampa Family Dental is always willing to work with patients in order to have them treated as quickly as possible; accommodating same day appointments, opening early, or staying late. For Dr. Ghiya, patient comfort and satisfaction is always paramount.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ghiya enjoys traveling with his wife, an optometrist here in Tampa. He enjoys staying fit through Orange Theory Fitness, runs along Tampa’s riverwalk. He is an avid fan of all Tampa sports especially Lightning Hockey. Go Bolts!
