Rooted in the Tampa Bay community, Dr. Sanchez completed his medical education at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, along with a fellowship at the University of South Florida Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Sanchez, along with physician assistant Maya Niewiadomska, treats a wide range of colorectal diseases, with expertise in colon and rectal cancers, anorectal diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, and pelvic floor disorders (fecal incontinence and rectal prolapse). Together, they strive to provide the most comfortable and patient-centered care in an understanding and supportive manner. From the simplest problems to the most complex colorectal diseases, Dr. Sanchez and Maya offer patients highly specialized, accessible care with compassion and expertise.
Dr. Sanchez has a particular interest in advanced minimally invasive surgery and uses up-to-date techniques, including single-site surgery, for the benefit of his patients. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Additionally, Dr. Sanchez has been recognized as one of the leading experts in advanced surgical training both nationally and internationally.
His office is conveniently located on the campus of the AdventHealth Carrollwood hospital and is easily accessible for patients all over the Tampa Bay area, including South Tampa, North Tampa, and Pinellas County. He is fluent in English and Spanish and sees patients 18 years and older.
