West Coast Veterinary Center
A Tampa native, Dr. Elizabeth Dammers has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2017. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, along with a graduate certificate in public health.
As a general practitioner at West Coast Veterinary Center in Sarasota, Florida, Dr. Dammers primarily works with cats and dogs, though her career began with a different focus. She initially worked with horses and farm animals before discovering her passion for public health while assisting at local small animal shelters. She is particularly dedicated to controlling the stray pet population and advocating for responsible breeding within purebred communities. Additionally, she has a strong professional interest in animal oral health, emphasizing the importance of regular dental care, as well as behavioral medicine, with a commitment to the Fear-Free approach to veterinary care.
A devoted advocate of the Fear-Free philosophy, Dr. Dammers prioritizes making veterinary visits as stress-free and positive as possible. She fosters a trusting partnership between veterinarians, pet owners, and their furry companions, helping to ease the anxieties often associated with vet visits. By creating a welcoming, comfortable environment, she ensures pets and their owners feel at ease—turning veterinary care into a more positive experience for all.
Dr. Dammers is currently welcoming new patients (and their humans!) at West Coast Veterinary Center in Sarasota, FL. She deeply values the trust her clients place in her and looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care for years to come.
Great veterinary care is a team effort—less fear, more love.
