Donald C. Lanza, MD, MS, and Dr. Alla Y. Solyar are nationally recognized Rhinology/Skull Base surgeons, both serving patients at the Sinus & Nasal Institute of Florida, P.A. (SNI) in St. Petersburg, FL. Dr. Lanza is an innovator of minimally invasive treatments for sinus-related problems, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications in the field of Rhinology. He is the founder of the Sinus & Nasal Institute of Florida, where he collaborates with Dr. Alla Solyar, who has also made impressive contributions to medical literature.

Dr. Alla Solyar was born in Moscow, Russia, and moved with her family to the United States in 1990. She is a graduate of Brandeis University (magna cum laude & Phi Beta Kappa) and completed her medical school and residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Solyar completed her Rhinology Fellowship training at the Sinus & Nasal Institute of Florida (SNI) under the mentorship of Dr. Donald Lanza in 2011. She returned to SNI in 2013 and has been treating patients with complex sinus and nasal disorders, including sinusitis, nasal/sinus tumors, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks.

Drs. Solyar and Lanza have presented their clinical studies at multiple state, national, and international meetings. They are co-authors of multiple book chapters in Rhinology literature, including “Nasal & Paranasal Sinus Anatomy & Embryology,” “Diagnosis of CSF Leaks,” “Diagnosis of Rhinosinusitis,” and “Anti-inflammatory Therapy in Sinusitis.”

Since 2014, Dr. Solyar has served on the St. Anthony’s Hospital CME Committee. She is also their Section Head of Otolaryngology and runs a monthly Otolaryngology Journal Club. Dr. Lanza has been continually listed in Best Doctors in America since 1994, and Dr. Solyar has been included since 2017. Dr. Lanza is also listed in Top Doctors in America as well as Top Doctors in America for Cancer since their inception in 2001 and 2006, respectively. Both are members of BayCare Physician Partners.
