Deepak K. Naidu, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Medical Group Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He specializes in reconstructive surgery after traumatic injuries as well as oncologic procedures, such as skin cancer reconstruction. He also has a strong interest in aesthetic surgery including breast, body and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Naidu is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Naidu joined Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in June 2021 to lead the aesthetic and reconstructive surgery department of the organization’s new medical group, adding another world-class practice to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s scope of care. With his extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Naidu helps patients achieve their desired outcomes, whether they are seeking enhancements to the appearance of the face and body or restoration from the impacts of disease or trauma. Dr. Naidu understands that, along with refined look and function, the many benefits of plastic surgery include increased self-confidence and improved mental health, well-being and quality of life. His goal is to provide the skilled care that results in positive life changes for his patients, helping them to feel good about themselves and their appearance. 

During his esteemed career, Dr. Naidu has been involved in several research projects and presented at national conferences. Additionally, his work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed medical publications. Dr. Naidu also has held positions in the educational sector, as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando and a plastic surgery faculty member at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa.

After graduating summa cum laude with a dual major in molecular biology and English from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Dr. Naidu earned his medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed a general surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky and a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute, also in Louisville. He then completed a plastic surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is active in his profession as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Tampa Bay Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Fluent in English, Spanish and Telugu, Dr. Naidu is ready to listen to, and help you meet, your needs and goals.
