At Pediatric Pulmonary Specialists of Tampa, Dr. David Rosenberg and Dr. John Prpich are recognized leaders in pediatric lung care. With decades of combined experience, they are committed to helping children with complex respiratory conditions and care for one of the largest high-risk asthma populations in the Southeast.
Dr. Prpich, a Tampa native, earned his biology degree from Loyola University New Orleans and his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago. He completed his pediatric residency and chief residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, followed by a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Colorado and research training at National Jewish Health. Since returning to Tampa in 2008, he has served as Medical Director of Pediatric Respiratory Care at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and co-founded the hospital’s Aerodigestive Program. He also co-chairs the Florida Asthma Coalition and serves on the Tampa Bay leadership board for the American Lung Association. His work has helped advance asthma care across Florida.
Dr. Rosenberg was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School. He earned a B.S. from Florida International University and a diploma in respiratory therapy from NYU Medical Center–Bellevue Hospital before receiving his M.D. from the American University of the Caribbean. He completed his pediatric residency at the Medical College of Ohio, where he was named Chief Resident and received the Outstanding Pediatric Resident Award, and went on to a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at Indiana University’s Riley Hospital. Practicing in Tampa since 1990, Dr. Rosenberg is a highly respected clinician and educator. He was named “Best Pediatric Pulmonologist in America” by the Consumer Research Council.
