Doctor of Dental Medicine
Everyone calls her Dr. Mendez, a passionate dentist that blends art with science to transform dental experiences. Her mission is to bring comfort and confidence to every patient.
Born in 1991 in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, her passion for the medical field ignited during early childhood. When she was 8 years old, her parents decided to move to Havana, Cuba looking for a better future. She started dental school in Havana at the age of 18. Soon after completing her 3rd year, she had the opportunity to travel to America by herself leaving home, family and friends behind with a broken heart, but with big dreams to accomplish. She lived in Miami, FL for many years working as a dental assistant while doing her Bachelor degree at Florida National University. A couple years later, she was accepted at LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, FL where she successfully completed her degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. A dream that started more than 10 years ago in Cuba was finally realized!
Currently, Dr. Mendez proudly works at DECA Dental/Ideal Dental serving Brandon and Tampa area striving for excellence in her practice. She believes that patient education and motivation is the key to provide them with the ideal dental care as part of a general well being.
Fluent in Spanish and English, she has a large guest count from diverse cultures and nationalities. Dr. Mendez is certain that the future of dentistry is bright and she is thrilled to be part of it.
Outside of work, you can find her doing household tasks, swimming at the beach, having dinner with family and friends, or listening good music.
Here she is to heal, learn, and create smiles, one tooth at a time.
