Candice Rojas- Colucci is the founder and managing attorney at Colucci Law Group, which specializes in Property Damage Insurance Claims and Personal Injury, with 3 locations in Florida and 1 location in Louisiana. Most recently her firm was awarded “The 2021 Law Firm of the Year” by American Institute of Legal Professionals. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, she attended Plant High School and completed her undergraduate career at the University of South Florida and then attended, Stetson University School of Law, where she found her passion to be Trial Advocacy and was a member of Stetson’s world-renowned Trial Team.
When you meet Candice there is an obvious air of relentless tenacity and her tireless work shows a commitment to ensuring that the law is used to protect the underrepresented equally and equitably. Years ago, after seeing the exploitation of many home and commercial property owners by insurance companies after devastating Hurricanes, Candice discovered that it is common practice for an Insurance Company to deny, delay, or underpay their insurance claims, while leaving the innocent property owner in deplorable circumstances and without recourse.
The year 2021 was no different for Candice and her team. Battling a global pandemic, natural disasters, and political uproar, Candice and her team were at the forefront of advocacy without hesitation. Candice provided supplies and “boots on the ground” efforts to those directly affected by Hurricanes Laura, Delta, and Sally. She assisted in leading workshops and education courses to public adjusters and contractors to best educate and represent insureds to make a difference. She volunteered countless pro bono hours of free legal advice and policy review to victims of insurance company failures. Candice believes that knowledge is power and continues to give Free Legal Information on her Podcast called, “Legal Gangster”. With the immense success of her practice, she most recently expanded to a 10,000sq feet location in Clearwater, housing a team of legal advocates and emergency mobile disaster team ready to mobilize in the event of a catastrophe in any state.
The National Alliance of Women in Law honored Candice as a “Top Attorney.” Candice is also recognized as a “Lawyer of Distinction” in Insurance Law. Other awards Candice has received include, the American Institute of Legal Advocates, “Rising Star” for having the highest ethical standards and providing top-tier advocacy for her clients, and the American Academy of Attorneys, “Top 40 under 40”; having been recognized as an attorney who exemplifies excellence.
Candice is selfless in her endeavor to prevent the revictimization of others and to give back to the community. She has dedicated her time and her practice to fighting back against injustices across many fields. In every avenue such as legislation, emergency efforts, business regulation she is a dependable advocate and a person of extraordinary character.
