Attorney Bryant A. Scriven is a distinguished criminal defense lawyer and the founder of Scriven Law, P.A., a premier legal firm based in Tampa, Florida. With an unwavering commitment to justice, he has earned a reputation as a formidable advocate in both state and federal courts, defending clients in high-stakes criminal cases.
A graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned both his B.A. with honors and his J.D. with distinction, Scriven began his legal career as a prosecutor with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office. During his tenure, he served as lead trial counsel in over 2,000 cases, bringing more than 100 trials to verdict.
After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Bryant joined a large civil defense firm, where he defended Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of lawsuits. In 2008, he decided to put his experience to work for individuals and founded Scriven Law, P.A.
Today, Scriven Law, P.A. focuses on high-stakes criminal defense, including federal investigations, white-collar offenses, drug-related charges, and asset forfeiture. The firm has successfully represented clients in complex cases involving racketeering, fraud, and healthcare offenses. In recognition of his legal acumen, Mr. Scriven has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and was named one of Florida’s Legal Elite in 2021—an honor bestowed upon fewer than 2% of practicing attorneys in the state.
Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Scriven serves on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and as Chairperson of the Florida High School Athletic Association Appeals Committee.
