Championing Inclusive, Affirming LGBTQ+ Healthcare in Florida
Dr. Antonio Luis is a visionary healthcare leader whose commitment to equity and inclusion has transformed care for the LGBTQ+ community. After earning bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Dance, and Environmental Health at the University of Georgia (2005), he pursued his MD at the Medical College of Georgia (2009). He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Temple University Hospital (2012).
Beginning his career as an Academic Hospitalist at Lankenau Medical Center, Dr. Luis mentored residents and coordinated complex care across specialties. In 2017, he joined Philadelphia’s Mazzoni Center, where he deepened his expertise in HIV/AIDS and gender affirming medicine. That same year, the American Academy of HIV Medicine recognized him as an HIV Specialist, honoring his dedication to compassionate, evidence-based care. He later opened a High Resolution Anoscopy Clinic to advance preventive services and, in 2021, led as Medical Director at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Tampa, reaching historically underserved populations.
Driven by a vision of health as a human right, Dr. Luis founded Inclusive Care Group in 2022 to deliver rapid access, affirming primary care tailored to LGBTQ+ patients. Building on that success, he launched the ICG Foundation in 2024—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers through free HIV/STI testing, trans affirming healthcare, mental health support, and insurance enrollment assistance. Under his leadership, the ICG Foundation is forging partnerships with county health departments, STD clinics, mental health centers, and community organizations to create mobile clinic outreach, pop-up testing events, and education workshops.
His unwavering advocacy ensures that everyone, regardless of background or identity, receives compassionate, stigma-free care and the resources to lead a healthy, empowered life.
Dr. Luis’s journey—from learner to teacher, from clinician to changemaker—reflects his enduring belief that by uplifting individuals and communities, we can build a more just and equitable world of healthcare for all.
