A dedicated ophthalmologist and Tampa native, Dr. Ana Maria Oliva is a leader in the treatment of cataracts and corneal diseases. Known for her expertise and compassionate approach, she is committed to providing exceptional, personalized care. Fluent in Spanish, she ensures that every patient fully understands their diagnosis and feels confident throughout their treatment journey.
Dr. Oliva’s academic and medical training are deeply rooted in Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida before obtaining her medical degree from the University of South Florida. She then completed an Internal Medicine internship, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology and a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa. This extensive training has equipped her with the knowledge and skill to deliver cutting-edge eye care.
As the Medical Director of her practice, Dr. Oliva is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in ophthalmology. She also serves on the governing body of the Brandon Surgery Center, where she plays a crucial role in upholding surgical excellence and patient care quality.
Beyond her medical expertise, Dr. Oliva is recognized for her warm and compassionate approach to patient care.
